Hi! My name is Eerie, aka Eeriedescent on RKC. Iridescence might be a newly formed website but, like many others, my personal experience with Petz dates much farther back.

My petz obsession began with Dogz 1 (Chip 🥰) but it was around the time when Petz 4 released that I would take the leap and start my own website named Twilight Kennelz and Cattery. It featured adoptions, hexed breeds and a heaping dose of sparkling stars. It didn't last long though, because as time whizzed by, I sadly was no longer was able to visit my petz as often as I wished I could.

However, to say that the Petz games were a big inspiration for me is truly an understatement. It shaped my life like no other game could! Through petz, I gained empathy, kindness, compassion, a love for animals and a desire to create. I even volunteered a lot of my late teens and early twenties to a local cat shelter, where I learned many things and a lot of life lessons; Some good, some bad.

Nowadays, I often dabble in digital art and many other creative outlets, and I am always striving to learn and try new things. To date, my proudest achievements are that I self-taught myself the ways of Photoshop, a little bit of Blender and I can sort of paint! 

 

One of the most important lessons that I've learned though, is that Petz requires a lot of trial and error. Trial and error that has taught me early on that even though I may make mistakes, there's nothing too big that can't be fixed, even if it seems daunting at first.

Honestly, It's hard to believe that at 33, I've come back around full circle, reliving the days of my childhood with a new perspective. The nostalgia is unbelievable and the fluttery feeling in my heart is indescribable.

Iridescence is truly a personal embodiment of who I am as a person and I thank you for joining me on my journey back into petz. <3
